an instrument to play with form, just the way you play music.
This synthesizer is a new way of 3D modeling, made to be more intuitive, playful, and lived as a dedicated creative moment.
The overall aim is to create a new type of digital gesture. Since 1969, when Douglas Engelbart invented the mouse and the keyboard, these two interfaces have remained unchanged as the main way we interact with a computer. Even for creative purposes, software has been built around these technologies, turning the click into our only compressed gesture, an impulse of the finger.
This first version generates vases, but the project is meant to grow far beyond. Form Synthesizer aims to become a broader instrument for shaping all kinds of 3D forms (furniture, objects, sculptures, jewelry, architectural elements) through the same tangible, hands-on process. A dedicated device for creatives, autonomous, free from the computer.
This different approach to digital creation is human-centered, focused on the fluidity and intuitiveness of the interactions.
